In 2008 I picked up a paintbrush for the first time since kindergarten and I haven't put it down since. This kickstart to my creative journey as an adult led me to play and express myself using many mediums including acrylics, pastels, ink, paper, photography, yarn…

A self-motivated artist, I have gleaned skills, technique and inspiration from many wonderful teachers - online and in real life. But the best way to put these teachings into practice and learn is to create, create, create!

A few samplings…

Collage: Keepin’ It simple

One of my favourite forms of creative expression, ripe with possibility. In this particular sampling I embrace white space and simplicity with a POP of colour!

Collage: All the other stuff

A little less white space, a little more colour, a little more whimsy.

Mobile Photography: Black & White

Shapes, shadows, lights, contrasts… I love it all.

Faces & Figures

Inspired by vintage finds, family photos and paintings by masters like Matisse and Picasso. Created using a variety of materials (charcoal, acrylics, pastels, paper) on a variety of surfaces (canvas, watercolour paper, mat boards).

iPhoneography & Digital Art

A fun and gratifying form of creative expression! Created using my own photos and various apps on the PC, my phone or my iPad.

Photography

I love to capture beauty and moments of my everyday life. My camera helps me do that.
