“It’s gotta be good”, I told myself.
“I want it to be special”, I mused.
“But I don't have anything ready for a giveaway!”, I stalled.
“Just write”, I prodded.

Who knew the pressure of writing one’s 1000th post would be such a paralyzing pain in the ass?
The only plausible response was to write the dang post and move on, because that's what I do.
I write. I persist. I fumble. One blog post at a time I continue this experiment of mine.
These past 10 years have led me through a joy-filled, anxiety-ridden, soul-expanding journey and I’ve got 1000 posts documenting the whole thing.
I feel rich at the thought.
Thank you for being here with me. I feel rich at the thought of that, too.
So here it is, my 1000th post.
Here’s to the next thousand. Even better, here's to the 1001st.
