After a few weeks away, I finally made my way back to the art table.
I started simply putting marks on paper to get back into the swing of things, but I like where it's led me so far...
These random marks on a black background led to a piece I couldn't have imagined painting just a few months ago...
Woman in a Yellow Skirt
(acrylics, charcoal and pastels on mat board, 7 1/2" x 12 1/4")
And these bold marks that I loved so (acrylics on watercolour paper, 24" x 18")...
apparently wanted to be softened into something a little more gentle (work in progress).
The moral of this story?
Sometimes you just have to make your mark and see what comes, then let yourself be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.
Are you ready to make your mark?
